A space to explore your story with care

I’m Teresa Alarcón (she/her), a Provisional Psychologist originally trained and registered in Chile, now practising in Australia. For more than ten years, I’ve worked alongside adolescents, adults and couples to explore the stories that shape their lives - their challenges, their hopes, and the meanings that matter most to them.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Narrative and Systemic Therapy. This means I don’t see people as problems to be fixed, but as experts in their own lives. Together, we slow down, notice what feels heavy, and explore the skills, values and commitments that have supported you, even in difficult moments. I’m committed to creating a warm, respectful and collaborative space where your voice guides the process.

My clinical experience includes working with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, complex trauma, PTSD and neurodivergence. I bring a multicultural perspective to my practice, shaped by my own journey across countries and cultures. I work fluently in English and Spanish, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, gender identities and LGBTQ+ communities.

I hold a Bachelor’s and Honours Degree in Psychology with a clinical focus, along with postgraduate training in Systemic and Narrative Therapy. I’m currently completing my pathway toward full registration with AHPRA as a Provisional Psychologist.

Above all, my work is guided by deep respect for each person’s lived experience. I aim to offer a steady, inclusive space where you can explore your story, reconnect with what matters to you, and move toward preferred ways of living.
